Reviving cotton industry: Kwale farmers to benefit from a Ksh100 million ginnery in the area

Cotton farmers in Kwale County are set to benefit from a 100 million shillings ginnery whose construction was launched today by Cabinet Secretary in the ministry of industry, trade and investment Adan Mohammed at Kinondo area. The project is in line with the governments BigFfour agenda and is in partnership with the ministries of Agriculture, Petroleum and Mining, Kwale County government and mining company base titanium. The CS said that a similar project will spread across twenty counties which will see more than six hundred thousand farmers benefit. With land being a thorny issue in Kwale county, the governor Salim Mvurya said his government will work with speed to resolve land problems so as to allow more farmers invest in the cotton and other cash crops.
