Makupa causeway closed indefinitely after cargo train derailed spilling 3000 litres of super petrol

About 3,000 liters of super petrol spilled to the ground after a cargo train derailed along Makupa causeway in Changamwe Mombasa county as it negotiated a sharp bend. Maritime authorities say the causeway was closed to traffic starting midnight Saturday will remain closed for some time as fuel disaster teams clear the spilled fuel to prevent an accidental ignition or explosion.
