When State House digital communications boss Dennis Itumbi first came to Nairobi, he only had Sh1, 000 in his pocket.
A naïve village boy, his mother had advised him to seek directions only from the police, or expectant women. He was not to trust anyone in the big city!
The herdsboy's pursuit of higher education would see him make a life for himself in the city – one that landed him a plum government job.
His journey was, however, not an easy one. As he tells in this SDV exclusive, he once called Mukuru home – a home he shared with decorated KTN News investigative reporter Dennis Onsarigo.
