Miguna should have submitted his Canadian Passport, Ugandan scribe says

1st May, 2018

A Ugandan journalist has said Miguna Miguna’s second deportation could have been avoided had he complied with immigration officials.

Shaka Ssali, host of Voice of America's Straight Talk Africa show says while the Kenyan government made lawyer Miguna Miguna a hero, the self-styled NRM general should have complied with requests for his passport when he flew to Kenya on March 26.

Miguna Miguna was denied entry into Kenya when he failed to produce his passport to the immigration officials when he arrived aboard an Emirates airline plane.

He was eventually deported to Dubai on March 29, before proceeding to Canada on April 2.

While in Dubai, Miguna Miguna accused state operatives of having sedated him at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

He added that his health had since deteriorated, but that he will return to Kenya to continue with the struggle against the Uhuru Kenyatta administration which he describes as despotic.
