20th April, 2018
Opposition leader Raila Odinga has met former political rival Kibaki, Friday adding the retired president to the growing list of the opposition leader’s recent politically nuanced handshakes.
Raila and Kibaki met in Muthaiga on 20th April. The opposition leader was accompanied by his lawyer Paul Mwangi.
The agenda of the meeting was not shared.
The duo has had a tumultuous political relationship having been friends (Kibaki Tosha) …foes (fall-out after the 2007 elections) and back again over the years.
The ODM leader also met former head of state Daniel Moi in Kabarak on April 12. This was Raila’s first public visit since 2002.
“The two leaders consulted on the current state of political affairs in the Nation,” ODM tweeted.
