News Centre: Adoption and identity in Kenya

Justice Mativo stated that adopted children have a right to know their biological parents when they come of age. Justice Mativo said although the Kenyan adoption laws are silent on disclosure of biological parents to an adopted child, the country should apply international conventions that recognize the right to identity and parental lineage.
