Lecturers and staff drawn from public universities have maintained that their strike is still on, despite the ministry of education urging them to end their strike and resume duty immediately. The union leadership has asked their members to stay put announcing that they have planned sufficiently for their strike including holding demonstrations in the next two weeks.
