Leaders and residents of South Mugirango have roundly endorsed the proposed establishment of a sugar complex at Nyangweta. Led by area MP Sylvanus Osoro and six MCAs from the area, the residents were unanimous in their support for the sugar complex and urged the county government to expedite its establishment.  The Senate Lands Committee toured the proposed site of the factory and will prepare a report on the proposed Kisii Sugar Factory.
