Principal secretary in the state department of planning dr. Julius Muia has defended the just released Kenya integrated household budget survey (KIHBS) that put unemployment at 7.4% and indicated that poverty levels have come down by 10.5% to 36.1%. Muia said the various cadres of Kenyans in employment were factored in during the survey noting that it was done to international standards.
