The National Assembly is the lower house of the Parliament of Kenya. Prior to the 11th Parliament in 1966 when the Parliament moved to become bicameral, it served as a unicameral house. It has a total of 349 seats: 290 elected from the constituencies, 47 women elected from the counties and 12 nominated representatives.
