Professor Githu Muigai suddenly resigned as Kenya’s attorney general. The sudden departure at the height of Uhuru Kenyatta’s political face-off with the national super alliance has left tongues wagging on what might be going on inside the Uhuru cabinet. Professor Muigai has been at the centre of the legal pushback against NASA's challenge on the legitimacy of Uhuru's second term presidency and his exit on came just as the executive is facing many questions of alleged violation of the constitution. He leaves the AG's office to Justice Paul Kihara Kariuki.
