Managements of co?operative societies in Machakos County have been urged to keep proper records for efficient running of the movements. According to Machakos county co?operative commissioner Mr. Harrison Nyamu, societies incur unnecessary losses due to poor records and filing of assets and finances. Societies were called to ensure their debts are cleared in time to avoid auction of their property. Some societies were under threat of auction due to uncleared bank loans something which threatened their closure. The commissioner also advised the farmers to make good use of the lower eastern coffee mill ‘lecom ‘ recently constructed by the union by taking their coffee to it for milling.
