Sabati ward residents issue a three day ultimatum against the development at the ADB Kisiwani

14th February, 2018

More than 30,000 residents of Sabaki ward in Kilifi County have issued a three-day ultimatum for the government to stop construction works at the controversial agricultural development farm Kisiwani complex or else they will hold mass demonstrations to the town. According to the residents, more than 900 acres of ADC Kisiwani complex that used to belong to locals was grabbed by influential tycoons. Addressing a press conference area MCA Edward Kazungu Delle accused the local chief and the Malindi water and sewerage company managing director Gerald Mwambire of being behind the scheme to ‘grab land’  in favour of tycoons.
