In an effort to increase revenue collection in Tharaka Nithi County, Governor Muthomi Njuki has launched a digital system of revenue collection by partnering with Safaricom to do so. The county which is looking to cut down on pilferage of public funds has digitized its payment solutions. Prior to this move, there has been a fluctuation in revenue collection something that has greatly affected the final sum that is seconded to the county with regards to the equitable share of revenue. According to governor Muthomi, a rise in revenue collection means more money set aside for development projects he promised during the campaigns.
