Humanitarian agency Mercy Corps partners with Master Card foundation to roll out improved farm tech

Mercy corps, a humanitarian agency is partnering with MasterCard foundation, a financial agency to roll out farming technology aimed at revolutionizing agricultural productivity in Kenya. Speaking during the Agrifin accelerate program (AFA)’s 2nd annual learning event in Nairobi today, Leesa Shrader program director of the Agrifin accelerate program, said Digi?farm technology that was introduced in Kenya last year will help improve markets and productivity in small scale farming across the country. Digifarm that was introduced by Safaricom in the country is an integrated mobile platform that offers farmers convenient, one?stop access to a variety of services that decrease the cost and increase the quality of farm inputs, while enabling farmers to easily transact, learn and grow.
