Phone maker Samsung diversifies into stoves aimed for Kakuma refugee camp residents

Residents of the Kakuma refugee camp in Turkana County will no longer have to worry about the health risks associated with burning charcoal for cooking. Korean electronics company Samsung in partnership with the ministry of environment and forestry, today launched phase two of its ethanol stove project aimed at reducing carbon emission in the country by 500,000 tonnes in the next four to five years.
