In a bid to secure and ring-fence deputy president William Ruto’s support in central Kenya ahead of his 2022 presidential race, Jubilee party stalwarts are now working on a plan to ensure president Uhuru Kenyatta remains party leader even after leaving office in 2022. According to jubilee vice chair, former legislator David Murathe says the move is aimed at ensuring that central Kenya does not abandon Ruto.
