Effective today motorbike operators commonly referred to as boda bodas will not be allowed in Nairobi’s central business district. The ban by the Nairobi county government comes in the wake of increased criminal activities in the city. Only motorcycles with carrier boxes or those offering couriers services and have been properly branded will be allowed into the city centre. Boda boda operators will now have to drop their passengers outside the CBD.
