Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and his bodyguard Fanuel Owino were today arraigned before Milimani chief magistrate court and charged with assault. The legislator and his bodyguard were accused with attacking David Gichagu on January 11at fortis towers in Westlands. Babu also faced additional charges of using abusive language and creating disturbance. They both denied the charges and were released on personal bonds of sh20,000 each. Babu was arrested outside parliament on Friday and released on Sunday after spending two nights at parklands police cells.
