Taita Taveta residents have expressed concern over huge loses they incur as a result of destruction by wild animals. The residents, together with their leaders are particularly unhappy over rogue elephants that continue to cause havoc in their farms. Speaking in Sagalla ward during a tour, Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja said time had come for the government to intervene and compensate farmers. Local leaders warned that if nothing was done, they would hold demos along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
