Nuns from the assumption sisters of Nairobi have taken over the management of St. Marys’ hospital in Gilgal Nakuru County. The nuns, accompanied by a contingency of police officers from as far as Mai Mahiu stormed the hospital Friday morning seeking to enforce a court directive issued by a Nakuru law court on November the 23rd last year. This is after Justice Sila Munyao on Thursday affirmed orders to have a change in guard at the facility. It’s the second time in less than two months that such an incident is taking place following similar occurrences at the hospital’s Nairobi branch in Langáta.
