Sonko vs Igathe: Mike Sonko has dismissed Igathe's resignation,terms it a non-issue

Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has dismissed the resignation

of his deputy polycarp Igathe, terming it inconsequential.

Speaking yesterday in Kiambu, Sonko said he is now

focussed on delivering services to the people of Nairobi

and will not be dragged into Igathe's controversy. The

governor said he had good working relations with Igathe

and that his decision to resign was personal since he was

not fired.
