The manufacturing industry in the country is set for a better year in sales after last year’s slump due to the august 8 elections. Cussons managing director Sekar Ramamurthy, urged the government to create a more conducive operating environment for the manufacturing industry now that the election wave is ebbing. Ramarthurthy said that the company’s productivity suffered during 2017 but the outlook for 2018 is positive.
