The government has impounded 78 gambling machines and arrested 8 operators in Kericho and Rongai over the weekend. 7 operators were arrested and 25 machines seized in Kericho County while 53 machines were confiscated in Rongai. The operation came barely hours after interior cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i ordered a crackdown on illegal betting. The government says the operation will continue in other areas until all illegal operators are flushed out.
