The East African Business Council today marks its 20th anniversary and launch of the inaugural EABC business excellence awards. The awards are aimed at showcasing and celebrating private sector businesses within east Africa that have achieved distinction in various parts of their operations. Both small and large organizations alike will get the opportunity to enter the awards and compete in three different caterogies the first being overall East African regional company. The other two categories include businesses that have excelled in cross cutting categories and companies that excel in a specific industry. The ultimate winners will be feted at a gala dinner scheduled for the 23rd of march. EABC Managing Director Lillian Awinja says that the awards will not only foster a competitive spirit among East African companies but also add value to the consumers.
