Kitui east leaders vow to push out pastoralists after a dispute erupted

Kitui East leaders have vowed to push out North Eastern pastoralists living within the borders of Kitui County. This comes after the armed pastoralists who are believed to have come from Wajir and Mandera attacked over ten families in the county living several people with injuries as they fought over pastures. Speaking at Malalani market, Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai said armed herders were a threat to the locals and it was high time they left the County. Mutito Deputy County Commissioner, Benjamin Nzioka also urged the herders to leave Kitui before they are forcefully evicted.
