Controversy grows over the chairmanship of the parliamentary committee

21st December, 2017

Controversy is brewing on both sides of the political divide over the chairmanship of parliamentary committees. Three members of the national assembly now say they have been dewhipped by Jubilee party parliamentary leadership after they contested and won positions in-house committees.  The affected members are Moiben MP Silas Tiren, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter and Marakwet East MP David Kangogo Bowen.  The three who are said to have defied a preferred line-up have vowed that they will not surrender to what they call cartels.
