A woman whose body was found near where that of IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando was discovered has been identified. Her name is Carol Ngumbu, 21 from Gachie area, Kiambu County. She had completed her studies from Kenya Medical Training College, Karen Campus.

She was due to graduate in December after her attachment in Naivasha. On Friday she was in the city center and told her sister she would go home later in the night.

Her mother Alice Ngumbu told journalists she learnt of her death through the media.

“We are yet to identify the body but she had told me she would meet a friend in town and come home later. She did not turn up,” she said. On Facebook, Carol is known as Carol Sharif Ngumbu. Her mother described her as a jovial and calm child.
