Budget2017: Gamblers are the biggest losers in the 2017/2018 budget

The Kenyan government has finally moved to cut tax on critical commodities like maize and wheat flour in a move aimed at cushioning millions of Kenyans from the high cost of living. While tabling the 2017-2018 fiscal budget in parliament, treasury cabinet secretary Henry Rotich further announced tax breaks for pesticides as well as locally assembled tourist vans.
