Members of Parliament have been given 60 days to pass the two-third gender rule

Kenya’s parliament has a maximum of 60 days within which to enact the two thirds gender rule amendment bill of 2015. High court judge justice John Mativo ruled that the national assembly and the senate have failed in both their joint and separate constitutional obligations to ensure that the principle of gender representation as enshrined in the constitution is protected.
