KTN Prime: Kenya Markets trust releases a survey on how high cost of goods is due to CESS collection

CESS collection by counties, brokerage fees by middlemen, transportation, storage, loading and offloading fees, and local market levies have been singled out as factors contributing to the high cost of food and food products in Kenya. This is according to a report released by the Kenya market trust. The research was conducted in 12 counties focusing on livestock, milk, maize, vegetables, and fish products.
