As the nurses strike entered day two in Nakuru county inpatients in public hospitals with uncleared bills were barred from seeking medical attention elsewhere while new patients were turned away. Meanwhile, the government through the ministry of labour has appointed a committee to negotiate in the dispute pitting the ministry of health and the Kenya medical practioners, pharmacists and dentists union.
