Standard group CEO Sam Shollei has called upon all Kenyan journalists to unite and fight for a free press in Kenya and across borders. He urged journalists to put pressure on the Ugandan authorities to drop the charges against KTN journalist Joy Doreen Bira. He was speaking during a ceremony to celebrate the 2016 CNN multi-choice African journalist of the year award winners.
