As preparations for the Afrika Mashariki half marathon that is set for December gear up, winners of the first edition were awarded today in Nairobi. Susan Jemtai who won the 10 km ladies race received eight thousand shillings. Winners in the men and women’s 21km race each bagged 88 thousand shillings  .a number of participant who finished in the top 10 positions also  turned up to collect their cash awards .
