CheckPoint: Most Kenyans believe that government is run for the benefit of a few groups of people

20th November, 2016

A recently released study by pew research centre from the USA, on the continents view of economic prospects has revealed worrying findings in Kenya of a country still ailing from deep-seated ethnic division. The research highlights that a majority of Kenyans, 6 in every 10, believe that the government is being run for the benefit of just a few groups of people. The study indicates that those polled from the ethnic background of the country’s leadership irregardless of how bad the status of the country’s economy is, will more likely insist all is well because “their man” is at the helm of the leadership. Ktn’s Timothy Otieno sort to put those research findings to the ultimate test, and went out seeking views of Kenyans on whether they felt the same and why the issue of tribe may not be going away anytime soon
