KTN Prime: Nakuru police arrest 8 people and 13 vehicles carrying illegal LPG gases, 17/11/16

17th November, 2016

police in Nakuru have arrested eight people and impounded eight vehicles carrying 956 gas cylinders allegedly containing illegal lpg with various brand names. The vehicles among them two Lorries were reportedly loaded to capacity though it remains unclear where the final destination for the cylinders was. The arrests come just days after oil and gas industry operators raised a red flag over the continued escalation of malpractices in the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) business. The players say seven out of 10 cylinders in the market are sourced from illegal fillers - a trend that is causing massive unease in the industry.
