NewsDesk: Members on National Assembly expected to vote on Gender Bill intoduced by Samwel Chepkonga

Members of the national assembly are expected to vote on a bill to implement the two-thirds gender rule after debate on the second reading ended.  The constitutional bill that was introduced by chairperson of the Justice and Legal affairs Committee, Samuel Chepkong’a, seeks to make the implementation of the gender parity law progressive.  The bill will require support from two thirds of members of the national assembly to go to the next stage.
