Kenyan ministry of education officials today stormed a primary school in Nairobi’s Buruburu estate, arrested the head teacher and shut down the school for conduction holiday tuition. Teachers and about one hundred learners were caught off-guard as the basic education principal secretary Dr Belio Kipsang led officials and police officers into the happy land preparatory school. Dr Kipsang the head teacher had earlier denied that illegal holiday tuition was taking place at the school. The school’s registration certificate has now been suspended. The ministry has said any school head teacher allowing holiday tuition will face the law.
