The ministry of water and irrigation has today handed over 62,000 bags of maize harvested in the Galana-Kulalu food security project to the ministry of devolution for famine relief. Cabinet secretaries Eugene Wamalwa and Mwangi kiunjuri signed the agreement in Galana today in the presence of Tana River county governor Hussein dado. Tana River and Kilifi counties that host the Galana-Kulalu project are among the five counties in coast region that will benefit from the famine relief food. The maize has been given out as part of the strategic grain reserve.
