KTN Prime: Kenya Withdraws its troops from Sudan after Lt. Ondieki is sacked over violence, 2/11/16

Kenya has withdrawn all her troops who were part of the United Nations peacekeeping force in South Sudan. Kenyan has also immediately disengaged from the south Sudan peace process in anger over the sacking of lt. General Johnson Ondieki Kimani who was the UNMISS force commander. Lt. General Johnson Ondieki Kimani was sacked by the un secretary general Ban Ki Moon, after a damning report showed that the un mission failed to protect civilians during the violence in juba. A un special investigation found that a lack of leadership by the un mission in south Sudan  culminated in a chaotic and ineffective response during heavy fighting in the capital juba between 8 and 11 July.
