The process to fill the vacant positions of commissioners at the independent electoral and boundaries commission has kicked off in earnest with the recently appointed selection panel inviting interested persons to apply. Those seeking the position of chairperson of the IEBC will be required among other things to be qualified to hold the office of judge of the Supreme Court. In an advertisement in local dailies, the panel has given applicants 14 days to hand in their applications.
