CheckPoint: Lest We Forget 23/10/2016

23rd October, 2016

KSCE practicals in music and home science examinations begin … with the written final exams commencing on the 7th of November … meanwhile KCPE starts on the 1st of November. As the candidates sit their final exams let us look back at some concerns from the 2015 KCPE and KCSE and issues that have plagued the education sector in the last year. A staggering total 7000 KCPE and KCSE results from the last year were cancelled over cheating. CS Education Dr. Fred Matiang’i made changes to the school calendar that included slashing the August holiday from one month to just two weeks. The CS also banned prayer days, visiting days and other school events that are held in the third term to reduce contact between students and outsiders with the endgame being to prevent national exams leakage
