Deputy President William Ruto has criticised CORD leader Raila Odinga’s proposal to the international community to fund opposition political parties to stimulate democracy.  Raila yesterday told a London political summit that the tendency to shower incumbent governments with foreign aid and ignoring the opposition has encouraged the governing parties to engage in corruption, dictatorship and lack of accountability.
