18th October, 2016

The local organising commitee of the 2017 world under 18 athletics championships that will take place in Nairobi early Tuesday took officials from the IAAF on inspection of the venue that will be used for the championships. The officials cited that the venue will have to be cleaned of any advertising material before being received by the federation seven days before the tournament. The local organizing committee agrees that they have a lot to be done before they can confidently be ready to play host to the championships. The championship that will be held on July 12 to 16, 2017 at Kasarani will attract 1,600 athletes from 160 countries.
