In a rather unfortunate case, a form four student has gone blind after consuming what is believed to have been ethanol at their school laboratory during a chemistry lesson. The boy is a candidate awaiting his K.C.P.E exams in a few weeks at the Kenyatta Mahiga secondary school in Othaya drank the substance and later complained of poor eyesight.
