The nine Commissioners gave the notice of resignation to President Uhuru Kenyatta but are seeking to remain in office until new commissioners are recruited. The move effectively means that the Commissioners positions are now vacant. The President is in the next seven days expected to constitute a panel to recruit new commissioners.  The Commissioner last week sealed a deal with the government over their send off package.
