The independent electoral and boundaries commission secretariat
is now raising the red flag over the implementation of the new electoral laws saying they have created a fresh crisis and that preparations for the 2017 elections are beginning to seem like a mission impossible. In a strategy paper. Obtained by KTN News, the rigid requirements and shorter timelines set by the new laws have effectively messed up the roadmap for the 2017 general election as some deadlines may not be met. And as Chris Thairu reports, there are no new commissioners in office, the voter registers have not being audited and no procurement of electronic devices has been made 312 days to the elections.
