Petroleum consumption has increased driven by rebounding tourist numbers, KTN Prime 21st September 2

Petroleum consumption in the country has increased significantly mainly driven by re-bounding tourist numbers and tax incentives. Data compiled by the petroleum institute of East Africa shows that jet fuel recorded the highest surge by 33% followed by petrol at 32% with LPG liquid petroleum gas posting an 83% jump following the vat exemption introduced in the 2016-217 annual budgets.
