MPs gets back to parliament to discuss Economic Patnership Agreement with EU, KTN Prime 9/20/2016

20th September, 2016

Members of parliament were today called back to the national assembly from their recess to ratify the economic partnership agreement signed by Kenya on the 1st of September to allow the European Union countries trade at quota free duty free standard in coming years. Kenya that was given an October 1st deadline to sign the agreement or pay duty of up to 22 percent on some of its exports now awaits other east African countries to sign the agreement for it to take full effect and open up trade between the EAC bloc and the EU
