Meru governor Peter Munya has defended himself over claims that his recent visit to Somaliland led to the ban on miraa exports to Somalia. Speaking during the Idd Ulhajj cultural festival in Lamu, Munya said he only went to Somaliland to look for a market adding that the matter had now been politicized by his rivals.
